Sauvage Innocence
To accompany ZEFIRO TORNA exhibition at Centre d'art Contemporain Passerelle Vasiljeva involved the educational department of Passerelle to participate and contribute to the installation. Vasiljeva dedicated part of her installation, named Sauvage Innocence to children with the aim of generating a space for curious activities. The children's territory aimed to be a compressed playground, exhibition space, library , studio and a re-use centre of artworks and everyday objects. Over the course of the exhibition, children’s formal and informal games (invented and inherited) as well new invented ones were discovered and documented. The collection is seen as a accumulative social play archive, where every day familiar objects as well as artworks and their stories reveal narratives and practices and open up new possibilities for play and play material.
